I moved to the Houston area in Fall of 2019 from the Oklahoma City area. There, I had spent 16 years as the Assistant Director of a competitive Christian dance studio, working with pre-k through high school dancers, and 13 years teaching homeschool English classes for high schoolers. Most of my classes were in and around homeschool co-operative groups throughout the Oklahoma City area. In the time I was there, I taught in five different homeschool co-ops, and taught independent classes in the library and my home. The last year and a half we were in OKC, we were involved as a homeschool family in one co-op in particular. Wayne, my husband, and I have a passion for homeschooling and for working with kids.

As a prior homeschool student myself, I always felt a passion for teaching. In high school, I was an assistant teacher in a homeschool class of my peers. Throughout the next four years, I taught and observed in several local school districts, finally receiving my degree in Elementary Education. When I had my oldest daughter, I knew from the beginning that we would homeschool. Our family is excited to help create a learning environment that will support other families with young children who are wanting to start this homeschooling journey.
